The firm is dedicated to supporting Main Street businesses—the retailers, restaurants, and service providers that form the backbone of local communities. Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical Oversight & Signing: Review and sign federal/state tax returns and monthly financial statements. Ensure technical accuracy and GAAP compliance across all client work.
  • Service Delivery Management: Oversee tax and accounting engagements for a diverse client portfolio, ensuring all monthly close and tax deadlines are met with consistency.
  • People Leadership: Directly supervise Managers, Seniors, and Staff. Provide coaching and performance management, and play a key role in hiring and capacity planning.
  • Operational Excellence: Monitor team utilization and realization. Identify workflow bottlenecks and implement process improvements to strengthen the firm’s efficiency.
  • Risk & Advisory: Serve as the primary technical escalation point for the team, exercising independent professional judgment to manage risk and solve complex client issues.
Qualifications
  • Credentials: Active CPA license in good standing is required.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in public accounting, including significant experience as a signing tax preparer.
  • Leadership: Proven track record of supervising, mentoring, and developing accounting and tax professionals.
  • Technical Breadth: Strong working knowledge of both tax compliance and GAAP financial reporting for small and midsize businesses.
