Job description

Location: Remote / Hybrid

Position Type: Part-Time (with room for growth)

Company: SOAR Health App

About SOAR Health App

At SOAR, we are reshaping how athletes handle mental wellness and performance. Built by athletes, for athletes, SOAR provides a secure, peer-to-peer anonymous support network that bridges the gap between the locker room and mental health resources. Following a successful launch into partnerships with NCAA athletic departments, we are expanding rapidly and looking for a creative spark to elevate our brand, our voice, and our digital community.

The Role

We aren't looking for a typical, rigid corporate marketer. We need a highly motivated, hard-working storyteller who understands the authentic culture of sports, the grind of competitive athletes, and the vital importance of mental health to support their personal wellness.

As our Social Media & Brand Marketing Specialist, you will help lead the way into our future by shaping how our brand looks, feels, and speaks to the world. This is a perfect role for a self-starter who wants to own a brand's creative direction, build a digital community from the ground up, and turn sensitive health conversations into high-impact, accessible content.

Key Responsibilities

Content Creation & Strategy: Own the creation and scheduling of high-energy, clean content across X (Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and our newsletter channels.

Brand Voice: Cultivate a unique, "clubhouse-style" brand voice—authentic, empathetic, grounded, and entirely free of corporate jargon.

Community Engagement: Actively manage and grow our online community, interacting with athletes, sports creators, and mental health advocates to build brand loyalty through our social media channels.

Campaign Support: Design and execute creative social campaigns surrounding new team onboarding, feature rollouts, and mental health awareness milestones.

Growth Tracking: Keep an eye on what works. Track engagement to continuously optimize content and understand what drives community growth.

Who You Are

Creatively Driven: You are a natural creator. You have an eye for clean, modern aesthetics and can turn a simple idea into an engaging graphic or short-form video.

Motivated & Hard-Working: You don't need to be micromanaged. You thrive on autonomy, take immense pride in your output, and love seeing the direct impact of your hard work.

Sports-Minded: You understand sports culture. You know how athletes talk, think, and handle pressure (former athletic or sports media experience is a massive plus).

Empathetic: You care about the mission. You understand the nuances of discussing mental wellness safely and authentically, and you understand the impact SOAR can have on the lives of so many.

Qualifications & Tools

None of the following are mandatory or required. The overall goal of this role is to find someone who believes strongly in our message and is able to think creatively to help our brand awareness grow online and in the community.

 • Experience growing social media accounts (personal, brand, or student organizations).

• Proficiency with design and editing tools (Canva, CapCut, Adobe Suite, etc.). Any social media content creation platforms or apps, whichever method you prefer.

• Strong, punchy copy writing skills that capture attention quickly.

• Comfortable working independently to create and execute your vision for what our brand should look like.

What We Offer

Flexibility: A part-time schedule that fits around your life, with the autonomy to work when you are most creative.

Direct Impact: You will work directly with leadership, meaning your ideas will actually be heard, built, and executed.

Growth Potential: As SOAR expands into new leagues and teams, this role has the real potential to scale into a larger, full-time position for the right person.

To Apply

If you are motivated to change the culture around mental health in sports and have the creative drive to back it up, we want to hear from you.

Please send over your resume, a quick note on why this mission resonates with you, and a portfolio or links to any content/accounts you’ve managed.

Please also feel free to reach out directly via email or text/phone call to introduce yourself.
