This role is based in a remote work setting, allowing you to provide critical mental health services from the comfort of your home, while still collaborating effectively with a dynamic team of mental health professionals. Regular business hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, ensuring a balanced professional and personal life.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate each client's unique symptoms related to eating disorders, as well as any co-occurring mental health conditions.
• Utilize assessment findings to develop personalized treatment plans, collaborating with clients to set achievable recovery goals.
• Provide individual therapy sessions employing methods such as Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) that cater specifically to eating disorder management.
• Engage clients in discussions regarding their beliefs about body image and food, working together to challenge and reframe distorted perceptions.
• Support clients in building healthy coping mechanisms and emotional regulation strategies to combat disordered eating behaviors.
• Work closely with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure holistic care and coordination of services tailored to each client’s needs.
• Offer psychoeducation to enhance understanding among clients and their families about eating disorders, promoting supportive recovery environments.
• Ensure meticulous documentation of progress, treatment plans, and therapy notes, adhering to legal and ethical guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings and professional development workshops to continually refine your therapeutic skills and expand your knowledge base.

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Virginia.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for eating disorders, specifically CBT, DBT, and ACT.
• A thorough understanding of the complexities associated with eating disorders and related co-occurring mental health conditions is essential.
• Excellent communication skills are necessary to effectively build rapport with clients and facilitate open discussions about sensitive topics.

• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in mental health counseling, particularly focusing on eating disorders, is preferred.
• Experience collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and support.

• The salary range for this position is USD 80,000 – 104,000 per year, commensurate with experience and specialization.
