Job description

GovCIO Media & Research is seeking a Senior Account Manager with strong communication and organizational skills. Candidates should have experience working directly with clients and internal stakeholders, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and working in a collaborative environment. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a fast-paced and continually evolving environment. The Account Manager is proactive, solution-oriented, and has a strong attention to detail.
This is a fully remote position based in the Washington, D.C. metro area. Candidates must be located within commuting distance and available to attend weekly events and press briefings in the D.C. area as needed.
Responsibilities
  • Project management: Coordinate timelines internally with different implementation teams working on a project; set up and manage Trello boards to ensure internal and external deadlines are met.
  • Relationship management: Work directly with clients to manage sponsored programs, including creating and meeting deadlines, managing expectations, and delivering closing reports.
  • Customer service: Provide a high level of service to clients from kick-off to completion of projects.
  • External Communications: Provide regular updates and communications to clients on project timelines and status of work; work with clients on reviewing deliverables for edits and approvals.
  • Internal Communications: Provide updates and coordinate flow of information internally to make sure all aspects of a project are understood and are moving forward. Work closely with sales team to ensure that expectations are exceeded for clients.
  • Management: Supervise 1 account manager

Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree and 5-7 years of experience; with at least 2 years of project management experience and 1 year of experience working directly with external clients
