As our Business Intelligence Analyst, you will turn raw data into the decisions that move AWL forward - aggregating, analyzing, and translating information into insights leaders can act on. You will work across the full modern analyst's toolkit, from SQL, Excel, and QlikSense dashboards to emerging AI tools, always pairing that speed with the judgment to know when a result is right. Data sits at the core of every decision we make, and you will partner closely with executives, stakeholders, engineers, and fellow analysts to sharpen how the business runs. General Responsibilities

  • Develop and utilize internal tools, SQL, Excel & QlikSense dashboards that will drive core business decisions.
  • Leverage AI-assisted analytics tools and natural language querying to accelerate data exploration and reporting.
  • Validate the correctness and accuracy of internal and external report data, including insights and queries generated by AI, before they reach stakeholders.
  • Provide situation-specific analyses to support business critical decisions.
  • Use AI to help build and maintain data ingestion pipelines, and continually optimize our internal data systems and analysis infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, ideally in engineering, finance, accounting, statistics, economics, math, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience as a business intelligence analyst, software engineer, or database application developer.
  • Strong analytical skill set for translating business requirements into reports, grounded in a solid knowledge of economics and statistics.
  • Ability to think strategically and to relate data to strategic decisions.
  • 5+ years' experience with Microsoft Excel; expert-level formula and pivot table development.
  • Intermediate to Expert level SQL skills.
  • Comfort writing clear, structured prompts to extract and validate analysis from AI tools.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a drive to optimize - a genuine passion for using data and technology to explore and solve problems, and to understand what makes things tick.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Statistics background / Predictive analytics.
  • Experience building or maintaining machine learning pipelines, especially in Databricks.
  • Familiarity with prompt evaluation and spotting where AI-generated queries go wrong.
  • Experience with scripting languages / light programming.
