Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Business Information Analyst (BIA) to support enterprise data warehouse and analytics modernization initiatives. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technical teams, lead discovery and documentation efforts, coordinate testing and migration activities, and ensure a smooth transition from SQL Server-based platforms to a modern cloud data ecosystem using Snowflake, Azure Data Factory (ADF), and Power BI.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technical teams to gather and document business and functional requirements.

  • Support data warehouse and analytics migration projects from SQL Server to Snowflake.

  • Develop and maintain Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM), data lineage, and data dictionary documentation.

  • Analyze existing data models, ETL processes, and reporting solutions to support migration activities.

  • Coordinate User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect tracking, and validation of migrated data and reports.

  • Facilitate communication between business and technical teams to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.

  • Assist with migration planning, issue resolution, and change management throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Validate data quality, reporting accuracy, and business requirements during migration.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Information Analyst (BIA) or Business Systems Analyst (BSA) on data and analytics projects.

  • Hands-on experience supporting data warehouse or analytics migration initiatives, preferably SQL Server to Snowflake.

  • Strong understanding of Source-to-Target Mapping (STTM), data lineage, and data dictionary documentation.

  • Working knowledge of SQL Server, Snowflake, SSIS, Azure Data Factory (ADF), SSAS, and Power BI.

  • Strong SQL skills for data analysis and validation.

  • Experience coordinating User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and managing stakeholder communications.

  • Excellent analytical, documentation, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional business and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with cloud-based data platforms and Azure services.

  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.

  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting and business intelligence initiatives.
