Job description

Commercial Strategy Consultant, Life Sciences (Internally Title Referred to as: Business Acceleration Partner)
Full-Time / Permanent
ABOUT ODAIA
ODAIA noun
o·da·ia | \ 'oh-day-yeah \
To learn more visit odaia.ai.
ODAIA delivers AI-powered commercial intelligence for life sciences - unifying data, accelerating results, and helping commercial teams deepen engagement to enhance care for providers and patients. ODAIA's AI platform transforms complex data into predictive, personalized insights, enabling commercial leaders to understand their customers, anticipate prescribing behaviors, and make the informed, strategic decisions that bring therapies to patients faster.
OUR MISSION
Reducing patients’ time to therapy by facilitating meaningful interactions with healthcare providers, through human-centric software powered by AI.
WHAT’S ON OFFER
Reporting to the Director, Business Acceleration, the Commercial Strategy Consultant serves as a trusted advisor and analytical partner to ODAIA's pharma and life sciences clients — bridging the gap between commercial strategy and data-driven execution.
In this role, you will translate complex market dynamics, brand strategies, and commercial data into structured, insight-led recommendations that directly influence how clients deploy their salesforces, engage HCPs, and bring therapies to patients faster. You'll lead structured engagements across the client lifecycle — from initial discovery through ongoing strategic planning — and be counted on to deliver clear, hypothesis-driven analysis and actionable roadmaps.
This is the right role for you if you thrive on unstructured problem-solving, bring a consultant's rigor to every engagement, and are energized by translating data into strategy for senior commercial stakeholders in life sciences.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Lead with a Consultant Mindset
  • Define project scope, develop structured approaches, and guide clients through complex commercial challenges
  • Conduct hypothesis-driven analysis — framing the problem, designing the analytical approach, and synthesizing findings into clear recommendations
  • Communicate with BLUF (Bottom Line Up Front) clarity to both technical and executive audiences
  • Understand the strategic "why" behind client requests and translate ambiguous business needs into coherent analytical plans
Deliver Strategy, Insights & Commercial Planning
  • Design and execute qualitative and quantitative analyses to address brand strategy, market sizing, segmentation, and commercial effectiveness questions
  • Synthesize findings from primary research, secondary data sources, and ODAIA's AI platform into integrated, insight-rich deliverables
  • Support pipeline strategy and launch planning — including competitive landscaping, opportunity sizing, go-to-market frameworks, and targeting strategy
  • Enable Dynamic Targeting and Segmentation to sharpen commercial execution and HCP engagement
  • Define success metrics, track ROI, and present findings through structured QBRs and executive briefings
Apply Data & Analytical Depth
  • Assess client data maturity, workflows, and analytics infrastructure to design fit-for-purpose solutions
  • Leverage health and claims data, prescribing data, and market research to build robust, insight-driven analyses
  • Interpret and apply prescribing metrics — including NBRx (New-to-Brand Prescriptions) and TRx (Total Prescriptions) datasets — to assess brand performance, track launch trajectories, and identify HCP targeting opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with data quality, privacy, and regulatory standards across all deliverables
  • Bring working knowledge of omnichannel strategy, Next Best Action (NBA) orchestration, and AI-enabled CRM workflows (Veeva/Salesforce)
Drive Engagement & Account Success
  • Build trusted, long-term relationships across commercial, analytics, and leadership stakeholders at client organizations
  • Align cross-functional touchpoints between the client and ODAIA to ensure consistent strategic direction
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities and surface value throughout the customer lifecycle
Manage Structured, High-Impact Projects
  • Lead requirements gathering, solution design, and project governance across multi-workstream engagements
  • Manage timelines, risks, and dependencies while running effective, outcome-driven client meetings and workshops
  • Liaise with internal ODAIA teams (Engineering, Product, Sales) to translate client feedback into platform and roadmap priorities
Enable Change & Adoption
  • Drive organizational and process change within client commercial teams, supporting transitions to data-driven decision-making
  • Educate stakeholders on analytical methodologies, best practices, and ODAIA's AI-powered capabilities
  • Ensure successful onboarding from sales handoff through sustained adoption and value realization

WHAT YOU BRING
  • 5+ years in management consulting, strategy, or a client-facing analytics role — ideally within life sciences, pharma, or healthcare (e.g., Engagement Manager, Consultant, etc.)
  • Strong command of commercial pharma: brand strategy, market access, launch planning, competitive intelligence, or commercial excellence
  • Demonstrated ability to structure ambiguous problems, design rigorous analyses, and synthesize findings into actionable recommendations
  • Experience leading multi-stakeholder engagements with a high degree of independence and accountability
  • Exceptional communication skills — able to craft compelling narratives for both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Proficiency in analytical tools (Excel, Access, or equivalent); hands-on experience with prescribing datasets such as NBRx, TRx, and NRx; familiarity with visualization platforms (Tableau, PowerBI) and life sciences data sources (IQVIA, Symphony, claims data)
  • Exposure to AI-powered platforms, predictive analytics, or digital commercial tools is a strong asset
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in business, economics, life sciences, engineering, applied mathematics, or a related field
  • Grand vision, low ego, and a genuine drive to make an impact for patients and healthcare systems

WHAT WE OFFER
Values-Based Culture
  • We Ignite Innovation, Own It, and Stand Together
AI-Native Environment
  • At ODAIA, we don't just deliver AI - we live it. We use AI and agentic automation to 10x our efficiency and impact, encouraging constant curiosity in leveraging and integrating AI

  • Meaningful stock option grants, immediate medical/dental enrollment, and flexible time off

  • WFH flexibility with intentional, high-value in-person collaboration and socials
