The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting clients with tax preparation, reconciliations, financial reporting, and general accounting functions. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain accurate financial records for multiple clients
- Perform various reconciliations of payroll, income allocations, equity, and more
- Assist with preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules
- Prepare journal entries and general ledger adjustments
- Support payroll tax filings
- Prepare individual, corporate, partnership, fiduciary, non-profit and gift tax returns
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, tax regulations, and firm procedures
- Communicate with clients regarding financial information and document requests
- Identify process improvements and help streamline accounting procedures
- Maintain confidentiality of client financial information
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 35 years of accounting experience, preferably in public accounting or an accounting firm environment
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
