Job description

We are hiring for an Account Specialist (Rep Payee/Guardian focused) on behalf of our client, a provider of specialized financial management and account compliance software solutions. This role focuses on providing technical, operational, and bookkeeping support to institutional clients such as law firms, nonprofits, and case management agencies.


Location: Chantilly (100% onsite, could go hybrid)
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 9:00am-6:00pm (60 minute break)
Salary: $52K-$58K + DOE

Responsibilities:

  • Handle questions, operational discussions, and systems training related to proprietary representative payee, guardianship, and case management software platforms.
  • Interface primarily via professional emails and live video calls with organizational clients to address system inquiries and research solutions.
  • Conduct extensive research on account histories and data configurations prior to client consultations.
  • Provide comprehensive support across a varied group of organizational accounts.
  • Assist clients with day-to-day bookkeeping practices, transaction tracking, processing overdrafts, and reconciling checking accounts.
  • Guide clients on regulatory documentation, general business procedures, or legal scheduling tracking embedded in the systems.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in the representative payee, guardianship, fiduciary, or case management industries.
  • Experience working in operations/ book keeping for nonprofits or law offices could be considered.
  • Practical familiarity with bookkeeping practices, check reconciliation, or ledger software tools.
  • Strong mathematical proficiency, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, percentages, and balances.
  • General computer proficiency, including typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Word and Outlook.
  • Strong professional temperament with a capacity for long, detail-driven consultative conversations.
  • High levels of diplomacy, professionalism, empathy, and stress tolerance.
  • Proactive, self-starter mentality with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
