Job description

LHH has a unique temporary to hire Staff Accountant opportunity for a degreed, experienced professional. This role will be based out of Seattle, WA but can fully remote as long as you can work normal business hours for the pacific time zone. The manager is looking for someone who has at least three years of accountant experience and who will assist with process improvement execution. They do utilize a few different software systems so you need to be comfortable navigating through technology quickly. The team is looking for someone quickly so apply now if you are interested! Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
  • Maintain general ledger accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Support financial statement preparation and management reporting.
  • Process payroll-related accounting transactions and reconciliations.
  • Assist with audits by preparing schedules and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, internal controls, and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and increased efficiency.
  • Participate in special projects and provide cross-functional accounting support.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Three or more years of accounting experience.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Experience with general ledger accounting and account reconciliations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software/ERP systems.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to work successfully and independently in a remote setting.
