We are seeking a motivated professional to join our Customer Development Team in a role that combines strategic support with the opportunity for professional growth. This position offers a deep dive into the business planning process, where you will work closely with Customer Business Managers (CBMs) to help drive our success.
Working closely with Customer Business Managers (CBMs), you will be responsible for business forecasting, trade spend tracking, administering account portals, and data management for select key accounts. In addition, this incumbent will independently manage a small number of smaller regional grocery accounts, including conducting line review presentations, executing pricing and promotion strategies, and delivering billed sales targets.
This role is a great fit for someone well-versed in account management support who is interested in the opportunity to evolve those skills toward a direct selling capacity.
In this position, you will work remotely from your home base, located in one of the following states: AR, CA, CT, FL, GA, IL, IN, KS, KY, MI, MN, NC, NJ, OH, PA, TN, TX, VA, and WA.
Your Responsibilities ...
Sales Support
  • Effectively manage the administrative responsibilities including price change forms, event forecasting, and selling and planning schedules.
  • Support forecasting customer events as required.
  • Collaborate with CBMs to collect and verify data, ensuring all key tracking requirements- including CAR, Inventory, Line Reviews, Business Plans and TOS- are accurate and up to date.
  • Process account chargebacks/deductions on a weekly basis, ensuring all claims are cleared within a 60 day window

Account Management
  • Manage assigned regional grocery accounts.
  • Help secure distribution, pricing, promotion, shelf positioning, and margin objectives by item/category within direct territory accounts, ensuring alignment with published brand strategies.
  • Perform other duties or projects assigned.

Requirements
You'll Need ...
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field with 2+ years of Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) sales or sales support experience; pet care industry a plus
  • Data Analysis Skills: Familiarity with syndicated data platforms (Nielsen, Power BI, Circana preferred) and ability to analyze POS SCAN reports
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams and with customers
  • Time Management: Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, manage deadlines, and ensure timely completion of account deliverables.
  • Organizational Skills: Highly organized with the ability to maintain accurate records, manage account documentation, track key business activities, and ensure data accuracy across multiple systems.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs
  • Business Travel: Willingness and ability to travel (4-6 times a year)
