Job description

Elevate Patient Financial Solutions has a career opportunity available as a Senior ITSM Engineer. This position will be a remote based role.
Job Summary
The Senior ITSM Engineer is responsible for leading the administration, configuration, and optimization of the organization’s IT Service Management (ITSM) platforms, including Cherwell and Ivanti Neurons. This role serves as a technical authority, providing architectural guidance and driving scalable, enterprise-level ITSM solutions aligned with ITIL standards and business needs. The Senior ITSM Engineer partners with IT leadership and key stakeholders to design and implement complex workflows, support system integration efforts, and provide strategic oversight of platform performance and long-term roadmap initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Serve as the technical authority for the Cherwell/Ivanti Neurons platform, providing architectural guidance, design standards, and long-term platform strategy.
  • Partner with IT leadership and business stakeholders to translate operational requirements into scalable ITSM solutions aligned with ITIL and organizational standards.
  • Design and implement workflows, business processes, and automation within Cherwell to improve service efficiency.
  • Manage Cherwell objects such as Business Objects, Forms, Dashboards, and One-Steps.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Cherwell solutions.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues related to Cherwell functionality.
  • Ensure compliance with ITIL best practices and organizational standards.
  • Provide technical support and training to end-users and internal teams.
  • Participate in change management and release planning activities.
  • Maintain documentation for configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Other duties assigned.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or abilities.
  • Minimum 5 years’ hands-on experience administering and engineering enterprise ITSM platforms, with demonstrated owndership of complex, business-critical workflows and integrations.
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Proven experience as a Cherwell Engineer (minimum 3 years preferred).
  • Strong understanding of ITSM principles and ITIL framework.
  • Experience with Cherwell Service Management platform configuration and customization.
  • Proficiency in creating and managing One-Steps, Business Objects, and Automation Processes.
  • Familiarity with integrations using REST APIs, Web Services, and third-party tools.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Cherwell Certified Professional (CCP) certification preferred.
  • Experience with other ITSM platforms (e.g., ServiceNow, BMC Remedy) preferred..
  • Scripting or development experience (JavaScript, PowerShell, etc.) preferred.
  • Preferred prior experience in healthcare, finance, or other regulated industries.
  • Remote and Hybrid positions require internet connectivity speeds that meet the Company minimum requirements.
