This role embraces a remote work setting, allowing for work-life balance while ensuring that therapists remain closely connected to their teammates through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms. The clinic operates Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some flexibility necessary to meet patient needs and scheduling requirements. • Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to accurately identify patient needs and develop tailored treatment plans that promote growth and healing.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for individuals, couples, and families, utilizing modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy.
• Facilitate educational and support groups that foster community, understanding, and shared experiences amongst participants dealing with similar mental health challenges.
• Collaborate effectively with psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic and coordinated patient care.
• Provide crisis intervention services, supporting patients during emergent mental health situations with professionalism and sensitivity.
• Educate clients about their conditions and empower them to take charge of their mental health journeys by discussing treatment options and community resources.
• Maintain up-to-date and confidential documentation that complies with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate patient records are available for reference and continuity of care.
• Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and articulate best practices within the mental health field.
• Stay informed about the latest research, trends, and developments in behavioral health therapy to continually improve therapeutic efficacy.

Our counselors work with a varied patient demographic, addressing the mental health needs of individuals from different backgrounds, cultures, and age groups. Therapists will encounter clients contending with issues such as chronic anxiety, mood disorders, trauma history, and substance use challenges. This diverse client focus allows counselors to develop a broad skill set and to contribute to the comprehensive well-being of our community.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
• Substantial knowledge of mental health disorders, treatment approaches, and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Demonstrated proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and crafting effective treatment strategies.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy to a range of populations is highly desirable.
• Superior interpersonal and communication abilities to effectively connect with clients and team members.
• Strong commitment to maintaining ethical boundaries and exercising sound judgment within clinical practice.
• Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure accurate documentation and streamlined care processes.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work in synergy within a multidisciplinary team.

• At least two years of experience in mental health counseling, with a focus on outpatient care.
• Specialization in trauma-informed therapy or substance abuse treatment is considered a plus.
• Familiarity with community-based resources and referral systems that assist in the holistic treatment of patients.
