• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients, utilizing standardized tools and clinical judgment.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique goals, preferences, and circumstances.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapted to individual client needs.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies to foster empowerment and understanding.
• Monitor client progress throughout therapeutic interventions, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Engage closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide an integrated approach to mental health treatment.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic methodologies and patient outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive and confidential documentation of client sessions, assessments, and treatment plans, adhering to ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in regular case consultations and professional development workshops aimed at improving clinical skills and treatment strategies.
• Advocate for clients’ mental health needs within the community and promote de-stigmatization initiatives related to mood disorders.

In this role, you will primarily support individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders. Our clinic serves a diverse demographic, including adults from various cultural, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds. Your expertise will be essential in providing culturally sensitive care and fostering a safe therapeutic environment that encourages open dialogue and healing.

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possession of current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCPC, or LMFT in the state of Maryland.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on treating mood disorders is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology as it relates to mental health treatment.

• Experience working in community health settings, with an understanding of the challenges faced by underserved populations.
• Familiarity with teletherapy platforms and tools that facilitate remote counseling services.
• Participation in collaborative care teams or interdisciplinary environments is a plus.

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 – 100,000 annually, based on qualifications and experience.
