Great Valley Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our remote team, specializing in the treatment of mood disorders. This full-time position offers an opportunity to work from anywhere, providing mental health support through telehealth services to our diverse clientele, primarily based in Seattle, Washington.

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms presented by clients.
• Collaborate with clients to create personalized treatment plans tailored to their individual needs, goals, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to each client's unique situation.
• Provide ongoing education and support to clients and their family members, promoting understanding of mood disorders, treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Continuously monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
• Work in close collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in the field of mental health to inform clinical practices and improve client outcomes.
• Maintain meticulous confidentiality and documentation of client interactions, assessments, and treatment plans in line with legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development activities to advance clinical skills and share knowledge with colleagues.
• Advocate for clients by promoting awareness of mood disorders and reducing stigma associated with mental health challenges.

This role centers around individuals experiencing a range of mood disorders, which may include but are not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, and related conditions. Clients may vary widely in age, background, and life circumstances, requiring a therapist who can empathize, relate, and foster trust with diverse populations.

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Washington.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience with a focus on treating mood disorders is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in applying evidence-based treatment techniques, particularly CBT and DBT.
• A strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the ability to facilitate effective collaboration with prescribing psychiatrists and healthcare providers.
• Evidence of a successful track record in achieving positive therapeutic outcomes.
• Exceptional communication skills and a strong capacity to build rapport and trust with clients from varied backgrounds.
