Lighthouse Wellness Therapeutic Clinic is a leading provider of mental health services located in Columbia, Maryland, specializing in outpatient care. This role is entirely remote, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your own home while maintaining a healthy work-life balance. You will conduct therapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms, which ensures client confidentiality and safety. The position is Monday through Friday, during regular business hours from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing full-time professionals flexibility within their schedules.

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the frequency, severity, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, considering their specific goals, needs, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based interventions for mood disorders, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Provide ongoing education and support to clients and their families regarding treatment options and self-care practices to empower them in their mental health journey.
• Continuously monitor client progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize therapeutic effectiveness.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists and healthcare providers to ensure integrated and comprehensive care.
• Stay current on research and best practices in mood disorder treatment to continuously enhance the quality of care provided.
• Maintain accurate, confidential client documentation adhering to legal and ethical standards in the mental health profession.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development training to foster clinical skills and teamwork.
• Act as an advocate for clients, promoting awareness and understanding of mood disorders while helping to reduce related stigma.

You will be working primarily with a diverse group of individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related challenges. Your empathetic approach will be crucial in building trust and rapport, which are foundational to effective therapy. Many clients may be navigating a complex interplay of personal issues, and your expertise will guide them toward achieving meaningful progress in their mental health.

• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW-C, LCMFT, LMFT, or LCPC in the state of Maryland.
• Proficient knowledge of evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Strong understanding of psychopharmacology, with the ability to communicate effectively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals.
• A proven track record of achieving positive treatment outcomes for clients dealing with mood disorders.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of establishing rapport and trust with clients from varied backgrounds.

• Experience in outpatient mental health settings providing therapy to clients with mood disorders.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote counseling techniques.
• Prior training or certifications in specialized therapeutic modalities for mood disorders.
