• Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews.
• Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans based on their unique needs, preferences, and care goals, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to meet the evolving needs of clients.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary while tracking outcomes to ensure efficacy and satisfaction.
• Engage in comprehensive collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to guarantee an integrated care approach, enhancing overall client experience.
• Stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic advancements in mood disorders to continuously refine treatment methodologies.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation of client interactions in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring accurate tracking of client journeys.
• Participate in regular case consultations, professional training, and team meetings aimed at refining clinical skills and sharing best practices in mood disorder treatments.
• Actively advocate for clients’ mental health needs, helping to destigmatize mood disorders and promoting public awareness initiatives.

Your work will focus on a broad spectrum of clients experiencing various mood disorders. You will engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, each with their unique stories and challenges, creating a supportive therapeutic alliance that fosters healing and recovery.

• Must hold a Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Possess a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on the treatment of mood disorders is preferred.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly CBT and DBT, with a proven ability to adapt these techniques to meet varying client needs.
• Possess a strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the collaborative skills necessary to work effectively with psychiatrists and medical staff.
• Exhibit a proven track record of delivering successful outcomes in the treatment of mood disorders.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, essential for building rapport with clients and facilitating effective treatment.

• Experience working in a telehealth setting is highly desirable, as well as familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Background in hospice or palliative care environments where mental health support is integrated alongside physical health services.
