Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized tools and clinical interviews.
  • Collaborate with clients to design personalized treatment plans based on their unique needs, preferences, and care goals, ensuring a holistic approach to mental health.
  • Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), adapting techniques to meet the evolving needs of clients.
  • Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies, empowering them to take an active role in their mental health journey.
  • Monitor client progress meticulously, adjusting treatment strategies as necessary while tracking outcomes to ensure efficacy and satisfaction.
  • Engage in comprehensive collaboration with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to guarantee an integrated care approach, enhancing overall client experience.
  • Stay informed about the latest research and therapeutic advancements in mood disorders to continuously refine treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Must hold a Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Possess a current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in the state of California.
  • A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience focusing on the treatment of mood disorders is preferred.
  • Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies, particularly CBT and DBT, with a proven ability to adapt these techniques to meet varying client needs.
  • Possess a strong understanding of psychopharmacology and the collaborative skills necessary to work effectively with psychiatrists and medical staff.
