Job description

Caring Heart Counseling is seeking a compassionate Licensed Clinical Therapist to deliver high-quality outpatient psychotherapy services to a diverse caseload including teens, adults, couples, and families. This role involves independent clinical practice with monthly supervisory support, focusing on evidence-based, client-centered mental health care. Flexible work arrangements include remote, in-office, or hybrid settings.

Responsibilities

  • Provide individual, couples, and family therapy addressing anxiety, depression, trauma, mood disorders, and relationship challenges
  • Conduct comprehensive client biopsychosocial assessments and mental health evaluations
  • Develop individualized treatment plans with measurable goals based on client needs
  • Apply evidence-based therapeutic interventions such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
  • Complete accurate, timely, and HIPAA-compliant clinical documentation including assessments, progress notes, and safety plans
  • Deliver telehealth and/or in-person therapy within North Carolina regulatory guidelines
  • Participate in monthly case consultations, supervision, and ongoing professional development

Required Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, Psychology, or related behavioral health field
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in mental health therapy

Preferred Qualifications

  • Active North Carolina licensure: LCSW, LCSWA, LCMHC, LCMHC-A, LMFT, LMFT-A, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma-Informed Therapy
  • Experience with diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and clinical documentation
  • Familiarity with telehealth counseling and Electronic Health Records systems
  • Strong therapeutic communication skills and cultural competency in working with diverse populations
