• Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine clients’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans that may include crisis intervention strategies, behavioral guidelines, and risk assessments.
• Ensure all documentation is completed in compliance with regulatory standards and within required time frames, maintaining accurate records of client interactions and treatment interventions.
• Utilize evidence-based tools and methodologies as directed by the clinical team to screen and assess client issues effectively.
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams to create and implement positive behavior support plans geared towards enhancing the quality of life for our clients.
• Actively engage in the organization’s licensing and accreditation processes to maintain compliance and uphold our commitment to quality care.
• Establish and nurture relationships with local, state, and national agencies, acting as a liaison to connect clients with necessary services and resources.
• Attend workshops, conferences, and other professional development activities to advance your skills and knowledge in mental health practices, while representing Brighter Soul Counseling in various forums.
• Promote the mission, values, and philosophy of our organization in all interactions and proceedings.
• Take on additional duties as assigned by the Clinic Director to support the overall operation of our counseling program.

This role caters primarily to adults and youth experiencing a wide range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. Our clients often require tailored therapeutic strategies that enhance their engagement in the community, foster independence, and promote overall wellness. As a counselor, you will be instrumental in navigating these complex client needs, utilizing a compassionate approach to encourage healing and empowerment.

• A Master’s degree in a mental health-related field is required.
• Current independent LMHC license to practice in Washington State.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with diverse client populations.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth technologies to deliver remote therapy sessions effectively.

• Experience in trauma-informed care and working collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as CBT, DBT, or EMDR.
• Background in substance use recovery services and working with individuals facing developmental disabilities.
