Job description

Role: Azure Engineer
Location: 100% REMOTE - Jackosn, MS
Contract Role
Job description:
This position requires a qualified Azure Engineer with at least 7 years' experience in the following areas.
  1. Implementation of a landing zone architecture through TerraForm to manage and administer the Microsoft Azure cloud environment, including provisioning, configuration, performance monitoring, policy governance and security
  2. Analyze existing operational standards, processes, and/or governance to identify and implement improvements
  3. Develop infrastructure as code (IaC) leveraging TerraForm to ensure automated and consistent platform deployments
  4. Deploying IaC utilizing Azure DevOps pipelines
  5. Manage security and access controls of cloud-based solutions
  6. Automate processes and infrastructure lifecycle management.

Required Skills/Experience:
  1. Microsoft Azure experience involving design, deployment, configuration, and optimization
  2. Experience deploying IaC with Azure DevOps
  3. Experience in IaC development with Terraform
  4. Proficient with GIT to perform source code management
  5. Enthusiastic learner with the ability to teach and mentor teammates and cross functional partners
  6. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail

Preferred/Not Required:
  1. Strong foundational knowledge of the Cloud Adoption Framework for Azure
  2. Demonstrate an understanding of security concepts including governance and access control.
  3. Basic understanding of azure active directory and integration with on-premises systems
  4. Network CIDR block and IP address planning as well as vnet gateway for transit routing
  5. Monitoring and logging azure platform using cloud native services
