Familiarity with dealership management software (DMS), customer relationship management (CRM) systems, and remote communication tools such as phone, chat, and email is essential. Additionally, remote advisors must manage time zones, stay organized across multiple platforms, and coordinate closely with onsite technicians to provide timely updates. While these challenges exist, many advisors find that developing strong digital communication skills and proactive workflows leads to excellent remote service and customer satisfaction.

What is a remote automotive service advisor?

A Remote Automotive Service Advisor assists customers with vehicle maintenance and repair needs over the phone or online instead of in person at a dealership or repair shop. They communicate with customers to assess issues, provide service recommendations, schedule appointments, and coordinate with technicians.
