Job description

Remote Automotive Fluid Routing Account Manager (Brake, Fuel, Coolant)

$130,000 base + Company Car + Bonus + Profit Sharing
Remote Michigan

If you've built a career inside brake, fuel, and coolant systems and you know how to turn targeted accounts into real growth, this is a high-visibility role where you'll own strategy, influence engineering and product direction, and drive preferred-sourcing wins across key North American accounts.

I'm looking for someone who can operate like a true account leader: commercially sharp, technically credible, organized, and proactive about finding the next opportunity before it shows up in a forecast.

What you'll be responsible for

Under the direction of the Lead Account Manager, you'll focus on developing sales growth at targeted accounts in North America while supporting corporate policies, procedures, work instructions, and required documentation.

What you'll do day to day
  • Build account strategies with leadership and execute actions with targeted account stakeholders to drive measurable growth in North America
  • Partner closely with account engineers and buyers to earn and expand preferred sourcing status at targeted accounts
    • Manage specification alignment, design activity, and pricing/quoting workstreams
  • Collaborate with Product Management to identify, position, and promote line extensions and new products needed to support growth
  • Work with global counterparts to convert global opportunities into North American revenue, and feed North American market intelligence back to the global team
  • Identify and communicate design trends, requirements, and competitive shifts to the broader automotive team
  • Coordinate with OEM account managers as needed to ensure alignment and avoid cross-account friction
  • Represent global capabilities and strengths to key decision-makers to strengthen brand perception and expand the opportunity pipeline
  • Proactively recommend improvements to accelerate growth across the automotive business
What I'm looking for
  • Bachelor's degree required (Business or Engineering preferred)
  • 5+ years working within brake, fuel, and coolant systems with OEMs and/or Tier suppliers in the automotive industry
  • Track record of growing revenue through key account management (not just maintaining accounts)
  • Ability to build strategy and execute it, including developing and closing sales opportunities
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Solid grasp of quoting fundamentals and ROI/financial basics
  • High energy with a team-first mindset
  • Strong multitasking and prioritization skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially Excel and PowerPoint
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Willingness to travel globally on occasion
  • Proficient in CRM
Why this role is worth a conversation
  • Remote role with strong compensation and upside
  • Own targeted account growth with real visibility and influence
  • Blend of technical + commercial leadership (specs, design, pricing, strategy)
  • Global collaboration without constant travel
