his internship takes place in Farmington Hills, Michigan, the headquarters of Bosch North America, in the Ford Customer team of Power Solutions Division (including products and services related to vehicle powertrain like controllers, software & calibration services, sensors, actuators, etc..).  

The Opportunity: Summer Internship, Automotive Sales & Project Management 

Are you a college student with a passion for the automotive world and an interest in the business side of engineering? Do you want to gain real-world experience in sales, customer relations, and project management with a leading technology company? 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Sales Intern to join our Powertrain Solutions team for the summer. This is a unique opportunity to learn from industry experts and contribute to projects that are shaping the future of mobility. You will support our team in managing customer accounts, developing new business, and ensuring the successful delivery of powertrain components. 

What You'll Do & The Experience You'll Gain: 

  • Support Strategic Account Management: Assist our sales managers with daily activities. You'll help prepare for customer meetings, respond to inquiries, and learn how we build and maintain strong partnerships with major automotive clients. 

  • Assist in Business Development: Contribute to our growth by helping with market research, identifying potential customer leads, and learning how to use integrated systems in the automotive sales environment.  

  • Contribute to Project Management: Support our project management team in tracking sample orders and coordinating with internal departments like engineering and logistics. You'll gain firsthand experience in how we take a product from an idea to our customers' hands. 

  • Learn the Automotive Business: This internship is a chance to immerse yourself in the industry. You will gain valuable exposure to the entire sales cycle, the product development process, and the fast-paced world of automotive technology.  

Qualifications

What We're Looking For: 

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree program in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • A strong, demonstrated passion for the automotive industry and an eagerness to learn about sales and business development. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage your time effectively. 
  • A proactive and collaborative team player who is not afraid to ask questions. 
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Copilot). 

Bonus Points If You Have: 

  • An automotive-related hobby or hands-on experience with vehicles or engines. 
  • Leadership experience in student organizations, clubs, or teams. 
  • Relevant coursework in sales, marketing, or project management.

Minimum Qualifications 

  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university and pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Data Science, Computer Science or Business Administrationwith at least one semester completed 
  • 1+ year academic or industry experience with software languages and operating systems. 
  • A minimum 3.0 GPA 
  • Must be a minimum of 18 years of age 
  • Must work 30-40 hours per week
