Job Description and Requirements

Randolph-Brooks Federal Credit Union is currently searching for an experienced and talented IT Network Operations Center Administrator - Overnightto join our amazing IT Network Operations Center team!

IT Network Operations Center Administrator - Overnight will have the ability to work a hybrid schedule (remote/onsite) aftera period of training (time frame may vary). Training will take place at the RBFCU Administrative Service Center: 1 Ikea-RBFCU Pkwy, Live Oak, Texas 78233.

All applicants must reside within the state of Texas and have the capability of performing all of the work from their home in Texas.

To successfully work from home, employees must have access to a minimum internet connection as noted by RBFCU.

  • Must have a reliable home internet provider and the ability to hard wire a connection directly to modem (Ethernet cable provided).

  • Must be able to provide a workspaces at home that is safe, suitable for work, and within a distraction free environment.

The NOC administrator job involves ensuring the timely execution of batch processing, monitoring file transfer processes, and providing initial triage for RBFCU monitoring alerts and outage notifications. Additionally, it includes coordinating repairs, escalating issues, running basic scripts, and performing Service Desk support tasks after hours.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Current shift is from Midnight to 8 am.

  • Ensures timely execution of batch jobs and performs basic level troubleshooting on issues that arise

  • Monitors the file transfer processes, escalate errors seen, and helps ensure file integrity

  • Monitors and provides initial triage for RBFCU monitoring alerts and outage notifications with close supervision

  • Provide basic level support for updating the RBFCU Monitoring systems

  • Assists in the coordination of repair by providing escalation, and documenting timelines and major updates with an emphasis on customer service and ensures each issue has accurate tracking from problem reporting to resolution

  • Report and escalate downed circuits to providers for trouble resolution on all RBFCU circuits

  • Coordinate the dispatch to remote locations or the RBFCU data centers

  • Provide initial review and triage for all Network and Telecom trouble tickets

  • Run basic scripts provided from the database team, and other groups. Escalate script failures to the appropriate teams

  • Perform Service Desk support tasks after hours

  • All other duties as assigned (note: essential functions and responsibilities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice).

Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work an overnight shift from midnight to 8 am

  • Must be willing and able to work evenings, weekends and holidays, and be available on-call as needed

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Experience in PC operating system administration and Windows OS

  • Basic computer networking knowledge, batch monitoring and manipulation

  • Attention to detail, ability to follow directions and troubleshoot accurate record keeping

  • Knowledge and experience with troubleshooting issues with circuit vendors

  • Proficient in EFT (SFTP/FTP), Automic Workload Automation Suite, DNA, HEAT, SolarWinds Orionpreferred

  • Network+, A+, Security+, Project+ or ITIL Foundation preferred

  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills and an eye to automate routine tasks

  • Requires teamwork and dedication to developing strong relationships with coworkers.

  • Good attendance and promptness is pertinent

  • Knowledge of Financial Institution Operations preferred

  • Subject to sitting, standing, walking, reaching and handling to perform the essential functions

Skills / Certification / Licensing:

  • CompTIA Network+ or CompTIA Security+

  • ITIL Foundation (a plus)

Preferred:

  • Associate's degree of specific IT certifications
