Remote Artist Manager information

What is a remote artist manager?

Remote Artist Managers are professionals who oversee the careers and business affairs of artists, such as musicians, actors, or visual creators, while working from a location outside of the artist's physical vicinity. They handle tasks like contract negotiations, promotion, scheduling, and networking with industry contacts, using digital communication tools. This remote arrangement allows for greater flexibility and the ability to work with clients from diverse locations, making it easier for artists to access specialized management regardless of geography.

How does a remote artist manager coordinate with artists and industry contacts across different time zones?

Coordinating across multiple time zones is a common challenge for remote artist managers. Success often relies on strong organizational skills, clear communication, and using digital tools like shared calendars, project management platforms, and video conferencing. Managers typically set regular check-ins with artists and maintain proactive communication with agents, labels, and promoters to ensure everyone stays aligned. Flexibility in scheduling and an understanding of various time zones are essential to avoid missed opportunities and keep projects moving forward smoothly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote artist manager?

To thrive as a Remote Artist Manager, you need a solid understanding of the music or entertainment industry, contract negotiation, and project management, often supported by a degree in business, arts management, or a related field. Familiarity with digital collaboration tools, music distribution platforms, and CRM systems is typically required. Exceptional communication, organization, and networking abilities help you build relationships and coordinate effectively with artists and industry professionals. These skills ensure efficient remote management, maximize artists' opportunities, and foster long-term professional growth.

Job description

At Bellota Labs, we’re building a next-generation poker app that brings rich
visuals, smooth gameplay, and polished UI to iOS and Android. The game is
live and shipping weekly. Our players expect precision, and so does our team.
We’re looking for a Senior Technical Artist to own the UI layer and ensure that
every screen a player touches is built with care. You’ll take design comps and
bring them to life in Unity with the visual fidelity they deserve, collaborating
closely with designers and engineers to ship production-quality experiences.
When you see a workflow that could be faster or more reliable, you’ll build the
tooling to make it so.
What You’ll Do
You’ll implement UI screens and player flows to pixel-perfect spec in Unity,
working across Design and Engineering to ship content that looks right and feels
right on device. Typography, spacing, color, animation timing – you notice when
something is off, and you treat that as a bug. This game is mostly UI, and your
work touches every screen the player sees.
Beyond content, you’ll identify where the UI creation process is slow or error-
prone and build editor tools and workflow improvements that make the team
faster and more reliable. The architecture is MVC with Unity as the view layer,
C# throughout.
This is a senior role with real ownership. You’ll have the autonomy to make
decisions, the trust to run with a design spec, and the creative freedom to solve
problems your way.
Who We’re Looking For
• 7+ years as a Technical Artist or Unity UI Engineer, with a shipped
mobile Unity project
• Deep experience implementing UI in Unity, from design comp to shipped
screen, with a strong eye for typography, spacing, and visual polish
• Strong mobile performance instincts. You profile, you optimize, and you
understand what’s expensive on device and why
• Clean, testable C# that fits a structured architecture
• You’ve built tools that artists or designers use to create in-game content
faster
• Comfortable interpreting design specs with autonomy and taste. You ask
the right questions early, push back when something won’t work on device,
and deliver to spec
• A rapid Git workflow that fits a team shipping continuously
• Comfortable with hybrid in-office work, or self-directed remote if you’re a
strong senior candidate
• A portfolio that shows shipped UI work in Unity
Bonus: Asset pipeline management, automated validation systems, experience
with TDD or unit testing in Unity, gambling or regulated industry background,
AI tooling integrated in your workflow
Stack: Unity, C#, Git, AI-assisted workflow
What You’ll Get
• The opportunity to define the UI layer of a growing product and contribute
to our development tooling from the ground up
• Close collaboration with a seasoned engineering and design team who care
about craft
• Ownership and creative freedom within a supportive, technically strong
environment
• Flexible work arrangement
If you’re passionate about building immersive, skill-first digital products and want to help shape the future of poker innovation, we’d love to hear from you.
