This is a full-time, remote role based in the Washington DC–Baltimore area, with the ability to travel for onsite client meetings and come into our Washington, DC and/or Tysons office when needed. This role is responsible for managing and growing client relationships across commercial & SLED sectors, serving as the primary point of contact for assigned accounts. Day-to-day activities include understanding client business and technical needs, coordinating solution design with internal technical teams, preparing proposals and quotes, and ensuring successful delivery of services and solutions. The Client Engagement Executive/Account Manager will maintain account plans, monitor performance against objectives, and identify new opportunities within existing and prospective accounts. The role also includes regular client meetings, collaboration with partners and vendors, and accurate forecasting and reporting to support sales and delivery goals. You’ll drive net-new revenue and expand key accounts across DC/MD/VA by selling IT staffing and SOW solutions to commercial and SLED clients.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Own full-cycle sales across DC/MD/VA — prospect, qualify, propose, negotiate, and close net-new IT workforce & SOW engagements.
  • Grow strategic accounts by mapping stakeholders, building C-suite and hiring manager relationships, and expanding NFF’s footprint in commercial and SLED sector.
  • Drive revenue and pipeline through disciplined prospecting, accurate forecasting, and consistent quota attainment.
  • Lead client solutions in partnership with NFF engineers, recruiting, and proposal teams to align talent and project delivery with client needs.
  • Be in-market — run onsite meetings, attend industry events, and leverage NFF’s Cisco Gold/CBE status to open doors and advance deals.

This is a remote role, but you must be local to DC/MD/VA with the ability to travel onsite client meetings and come into our Washington, DC or Tysons Corner, VA office when needed.


Required Skills & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field — or equivalent professional experience.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong business acumen, exceptional communication skills, and a proven ability to build meaningful and long-lasting professional relationships.
  • 3 - 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise clients with IT workforce solutions.
  • 3+ years B2B sales experience closing complex deals — IT, staffing, SaaS, or professional services required.
  • High energy and urgency — you bring drive to every call, follow up without reminders, and move deals forward.
  • DMV market knowledge required — experience selling into commercial, SLED sectors or education is a strong plus.
  • Executive presence — comfortable presenting to CIOs, procurement, and technical teams; strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • CRM discipline — experience with Salesforce or similar tools; you manage pipeline and forecasts accurately.
