Job description

iCapital is looking to hire an Application Support Engineer, to join a growing Data Support team. This role is primarily related to production support. This individual will be working with customer support using technical troubleshooting skills focusing on SQL and site administration. This role will also get to work with the Product Development and Engineering teams on resolving customer requests and issues that demand technical knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Perform root cause analysis of production issues by utilizing SQL to analyze data and coordinate with the Production Support and Engineering teams to resolve issues.
  • Serve as the primary liaison to work cross-functionally with clients, fund administrators, and business groups to manage and rectify data exceptions.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers to define and implement data projects for existing and new features and workflows.
  • Develop exception management tools to strengthen data quality control and produce metrics and dashboards to inform stakeholders on prioritizing resolutions.
  • Define business and technology requirement documents for the Engineering teams to develop new features or to address issues.
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of organizational data flow and its impact on business processes.
  • Write test cases and perform UAT to ensure issues are identified and addressed.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of business analyst or data application support experience within the financial services industry
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in computer science, business analytics, business administration, finance or in a related field
  • Proven track record of performing root cause analysis and coordinating with engineers on investigation and resolution
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and relationship management abilities
  • Experience with private equity or hedge fund business and data is a plus

The base salary range for this role is $100,000 to $130,000.ย  iCapital offers a compensation package which includes salary, equity for all full-time employees, and an annual performance bonus.
