Purpose


The Algorithm and Data Science team at VitalConnect is seeking an experienced Senior EKG Analyst to help expand our product features and functionalities, driving a profound impact on patient lives and overall well-being. In this role, you will be responsible for advanced EKG rhythm interpretation, annotation, and quality-focused analysis of cardiac data to support algorithm development, clinical initiatives, and product enhancements. This role is critical to ensuring accurate and consistent EKG annotation while maintaining rigorous departmental quality, productivity, and project standards.ย 


Responsibilities

  • Analyze and review EKG recordings, documenting interpretation findings to clinical accuracy and completeness
  • Perform comprehensive EKG annotation including rhythm, beat-level, fiducial marker, and rhythm onset/offset annotation
  • Identify and classify advanced cardiac rhythms, arrhythmias, conduction abnormalities, ectopy, pauses, artifact, pacemaker rhythms, and ICD related events
  • Maintain strict departmental quality and productivity standards, consistently achieving a performance benchmark of 92% or higher
  • Successfully meet all assigned project goals, deliverables, and timelines established by the Manager of Data Annotation
  • Support ongoing product development initiatives by providing accurate, clinically sound EKG interpretations
  • Collaborate with team members to review and interpret complex or ambiguous EKG recordings, ensuring consensus, clinical accuracy, and annotation consistency
  • Demonstrate professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a strong work ethic while operating effectively with minimal supervision
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure full compliance with company policies, data security guidelines, and regulatory standards


Requirements


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare or related clinical field with an emphasis on cardiovascular physiology; OR an equivalent combination of relevant certifications and clinical experience
  • 5+ years of clinical, industry or academic experience specializing in advanced EKG rhythm interpretation
  • Proven experience working within remote patient monitoring services or similar clinical data environments
  • Hands-on experience with wearable, single lead cardiac monitoring devices is highly preferred


Knowledge, Skills, and Qualifications

  • Advanced expertise in comprehensive EKG interpretation including rhythm interpretation, fiducial marker identification, cardiac timing intervals, heart rate analysis, QRS morphology, waveform alterations, and conduction abnormalities.
  • Strong proficiency in recognizing pacemaker rhythms and interpreting ICD events
  • Proficiency with EKG rhythm interpretation platformsย 
  • Basic skills in Microsoft Office and Google applications
  • CCT or CRAT certification preferred
  • Knowledge of implantable cardiac devices and device functionality is a plus


Salary & Benefits

The estimated hiring salary range for this position is $27/hr to $30/hr. * The actual salary will be based on a variety of job-related factors, including geography, skills, education and experience. The range is a good faith estimate and may be modified in the future. This role is also eligible for a range of benefits including medical, dental and 401K retirement plan.
