What is a remote animal rescue?

Remote animal rescue jobs involve supporting animal rescue organizations from a distance, typically via the internet or phone. Responsibilities may include coordinating rescues, managing adoptions, handling social media, fundraising, providing virtual support to fosters or adopters, and administrative tasks. These roles allow individuals to contribute to animal welfare without being physically present at shelters or rescue sites, making it possible to help animals from anywhere in the world.

What skills and qualifications are needed to thrive as a remote animal rescue worker?

To thrive as a Remote Animal Rescue Worker, you need a strong background in animal care, rescue protocols, and often a degree or certification in animal science, veterinary technology, or a related field. Familiarity with animal tracking software, remote communication platforms, and GPS or mapping systems is usually required. Compassion, problem-solving abilities, and strong organizational skills help you coordinate rescues and work effectively with diverse stakeholders. These skills are essential to ensure animal safety, successful rescue operations, and effective teamwork in remote or challenging environments.

What are the typical challenges faced by remote animal rescue workers, and how can they be addressed?

Remote animal rescue workers often encounter challenges such as limited access to resources, coordinating rescue efforts across different locations, and communicating effectively with on-site teams. To address these, strong digital communication skills and the use of collaborative tools are essential. Building relationships with local shelters and rescue organizations, maintaining an organized workflow, and staying updated on animal welfare protocols can also help remote workers support rescues efficiently and make a meaningful impact from afar.

Job description

HAPPY HOWL®
Demand Capture Manager
Remote (US) • Full-Time
About Happy Howl
We started Happy Howl because we believe dogs deserve better - and better wasn't available. Not from the legacy brands cutting corners with feed-grade ingredients, not from the fresh players who can't survive a pantry shelf, and not from anyone willing to accept that the industry standard for pet nutrition is "good enough."
We're on a mission to help dogs live longer, healthier lives. Every recipe is 100% human-grade, single-source animal protein, zero preservatives, backed by real science and formulated by a PhD nutritionist who obsesses over every ingredient. Our food is shelf-stable for two years without refrigeration - real, whole-food nutrition that's ready whenever and wherever your dog is. That combination doesn't exist anywhere else.
But we're more than a product. We work hand-in-hand with rescue organizations across the country because we believe every dog deserves a great meal - not just the ones who already found their forever home. Giving back isn't a marketing campaign for us. It's why we exist.
We're backed by some of the most respected investors in consumer and pet, and we're building the team that scales this brand past $100M in annual revenue. This is not a slow build. We move fast, we think big, and we hold ourselves to a standard most companies talk about but never actually live.
The people here are energetic, passionate, thoughtful, and intentional. We're a team in every sense of the word - we win together, we solve hard problems together, and we're building something that genuinely matters. If you want to do the best work of your career at a company that refuses to settle, Happy Howl is where you belong.
We're headquartered in Huntingdon Valley, PA with team members across the US.
About the Role
The media buying team creates demand. You capture it. As Demand Capture Manager, you'll own every organic and bottom-of-funnel touchpoint that converts interest into revenue - from SEO and organic social to product page optimization and Amazon listings. This is a high-impact role that directly influences conversion rates, CAC efficiency, and revenue growth.
What You'll Do
  • Own SEO strategy and execution across the Happy Howl website and blog.
  • Manage organic social media presence and content distribution.
  • Optimize product pages, landing pages, and checkout flows for conversion.
  • Lead Amazon listing optimization and organic ranking strategy.
  • Build and optimize quiz funnels and guided shopping experiences.
  • Track organic traffic, search rankings, conversion rates, and attributed revenue.
  • Coordinate with content and paid media teams on integrated campaign execution.

What We're Looking For
You've spent 3-5 years in digital marketing and you understand that the best acquisition strategy in the world is worthless if the landing page doesn't convert. You've done SEO, organic social, and CRO - and you've tied all of it to revenue, not vanity metrics.
You own outcomes. When conversion rate drops, you don't wait for the next team meeting to bring it up - you're already testing a hypothesis. You measure yourself by revenue influenced, not by traffic volume or keyword rankings in isolation.
You move with urgency. We're launching on Amazon, scaling TikTok Shop, and rebuilding our website simultaneously. You thrive in that pace because you prioritize ruthlessly and you ship fast without sacrificing quality.
You embrace the underdog spirit. Most of the organic traffic and conversion infrastructure doesn't exist yet. You're building it from scratch, and that's exactly what excites you.
You're locked in. When a product launch or campaign demands extra effort on the conversion side, you rise to the moment. You understand that the demand your teammates create with paid media is only as valuable as the conversion experience you build to capture it.
Nice to Have
  • Experience with Amazon SEO and marketplace optimization.
  • Background in DTC food, pet, or subscription businesses.
  • Familiarity with TikTok Shop and social commerce.
  • CRO certification or demonstrable A/B testing experience.

What We Offer
  • Competitive salary ($85K-$105K) plus bonus opportunity and equity.
  • Own the full organic and conversion function at a fast-growing DTC brand.
  • Remote work flexibility.
  • Collaborate with an experienced growth team and cutting-edge AI tools.
