Job description

Analytics Manager, Commercialization

Atari, Inc.

Remote

About Us

Atari has been one of the few bright spots in a challenging games industry. Quietly, but consistently, growing year-over-year.

The Commercial team has played a central role in enabling that trajectory. Now we're looking for someone to lead analysis on our large, complex, and quickly growing dataset to help us make better commercial decisions every day.

This is a high-autonomy, high-impact role for someone who prefers working at the level of decisions, not dashboards. You'll analyze our data, create financial models, and inform commercial strategy. You'll work closely with our Business Operations Manager and report directly to our Director of Commercialization.

In this role, you'll spend most of your time deep in analysis; not building data pipelines, dashboards, or production systems. Your output is insight, judgment, and commercial recommendations that directly shape revenue.

What you'll do

Commercial analysis & decision support

  • Own deep analytical work across pricing, discounting, regional performance, lifecycle dynamics, and portfolio behavior across hundreds of games
  • Turn complex, messy commercial data into clear, decision-ready insights for pricing and promotional strategy
  • Conduct recurring and ad-hoc deep dives that directly inform revenue decisions and trade-offs
  • Take ambiguous commercial questions and independently define the analytical approach, structure, and output

Financial modeling and business cases

  • Build business cases for commercial decisions including platform deals, pricing changes, bundle strategies, and portfolio opportunities (ports, streaming, cloud gaming, physical partnerships)
  • Develop metrics to measure the holistic performance of our commercialization system at every level - game, catalog, and company

AI-assisted tooling

  • Inherit and improve AI-powered decision-support tools, including a discount depth recommender and discount scheduler
  • Identify and build additional automations that reduce manual analytical work across the team - with the goal of progressively freeing up capacity for higher-order problems
  • Serve as a thought partner on how AI tooling can augment work across departments beyond Commercialization

Collaboration

  • Work in close partnership with our Business Operations Manager: you own analytical depth, she owns process and execution - the handoff between you should be clean and mutually reinforcing
  • Present findings and recommendations to the Director of Commercialization and, where relevant, to executive leadership

What we're looking for

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in analytics, commercial strategy, or a related field; games industry background a plus but not required
  • Strong statistical foundations. That means you know where analyses break down, you hunt for confounded variables and aggregation errors before anyone asks you to, and you can explain your methodology clearly under scrutiny
  • Financial modelling skills, including comfort building business cases from first principles
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, messy datasets and produce clean, credible outputs
  • Familiarity with AI tools and a genuine interest in building automations that augment analytical work. You don't need to be an engineer, but you should be able to build and iterate on AI-assisted workflows
  • High autonomy. You receive a problem, you figure out the approach, and you come back with a proposal. You don't need the solution handed to you
  • Intellectual honesty. You are someone who tells someone their hypothesis is wrong than confirm it with a flawed analysis

Bonus points

  • Experience with Steam, Nintendo, Sony, or other gaming platform back-ends
  • A genuine passion for games

Our values

These aren't wall art. We use them to hire, evaluate performance, and make decisions. If they resonate with how you naturally operate, you'll fit in well here.

  • Long-term thinking - Grounded in an iconic history spanning over 50 years, we prioritize long-term value creation over short-term gains. We're building something that lasts.
  • Convergence of passion and excellence - Extraordinary outcomes emerge when passion meets disciplined execution. Operating at that intersection is what sets us apart.
  • Growth mindset - We're inherently teachable, relentlessly curious, and we thrive on challenges. Successes and failures are both opportunities to learn.
  • Drive - We're self-starters who finish what we start. We find satisfaction in the hard work required to achieve extraordinary results.

Target Salary: $85,000 - $110,000
