They have a global footprint of 2,000+ data scientists and analysts who assist client organizations with complex risk minimization methods, advanced marketing, pricing and CRM strategies, internal cost analysis, and cost and resource optimization within the organization. They serve the insurance, healthcare, banking, capital markets, utilities, retail and e-commerce, travel, transportation and logistics industries.
ROLE
We are seeking an Insurance Analytics SMEwho will play a key customer-facing role for an Insurance customer. Candidate should have extensive consulting experience in the Insurance industry. This is a remote role with the potential to become hybrid.
Role & Responsibilities Overview:

  • Insurance data and analytics domain expert who can provide strategic and tactical advisory services on data solutions.
  • Experience leading analytics solution delivery for various insurance carriers.
  • Experience in designing data/analytics (including BI, predictive model and data solutions) across insurance business functions like Claims, Distribution, Product, Marketing, Finance, etc.
  • Understand the insurance regulatory environment and market across insurance products.
  • Strong knowledge of prominent tools like SQL/SAS/Python /PBI/Tableau or cloud technologies like AWS/Azure/GCP etc.
  • Conduct sessions to understand the client's needs utilizing standard and innovative consulting skills to deliver an optimal recommendation.
  • Brainstorming on pain areas/Identifying reasons for issues/Issue Resolution, diagnosis of inefficiencies in the current process, and figuring out ways to resolve it.
  • Expected to work in close collaboration with the Client team and internal team on establishing relationships with stakeholders, and identifying new opportunities, and areas of growth.
  • Provide Project, Client & Team Management and Monitor the progress of deliverables on a daily basis and ensure timely resolution of any issues.
  • Provide technical direction/support to project team members across data modeling, data manipulation, visualization, predictive modeling, Reporting, and Automation projects across the Insurance Value Chain
  • Proactively manage diverse teams and their expectations including career progression, skill development, or other people management aspects
  • Ensure Industry best practices are followed, Communicate and follow up with the delivery team.
  • Develop business proposals, facilitate client working sessions, and team up with technology professionals and/or third-party strategic alliances to conduct solution exercises based on clients' needs.
  • Participate and own various new RFPs, work with various SMEs to research and develop technical/business case studies,
Key Skillsets:
  • Experienced in the execution of delivery of a range of data management, analytics, artificial intelligence consulting, and delivery engagements.
  • Demonstrated experience in building relationships with executive-level clients in the Insurance industry
  • Support the engagement with expertise in deploying data solutions on Cloud/On-premise, advanced analytics, and business intelligence solutions.
  • Establish an environment of learning and development to continuously strengthen delivery propositions for various analytics setups.
  • Establish an industry-standard framework for absorbing the latest developments in the industry.
  • Perform research and provide solutions for various business needs from clients across the insurance value chain.
  • Demonstrated experience with Azure platform or relevant cloud technologies to design/integrate ETL pipelines, and data models for efficient BI solutions
Candidate Profile:
  • Bachelors/Master's degree in economics, mathematics, computer science/engineering, operations research or related analytics areas; candidates with BA/BS degrees in the same fields from the top tier academic institutions are also welcome to apply.
  • 7+ years with significant experience across Insurance business functions and processes (among Claims, Distribution, Marketing, Products & UW, Finance, etc.)
  • Experience in delivering analytics solutions including data engineering/models, reporting/dashboarding, predictive modeling, operationalization of models, monitoring, and business strategy support across insurance functions
  • Good grasp of conducting business workshops, architecting solutions, benchmarking industry solutions, and recommending best-in-class approaches for solution delivery
  • Proven expertise in delivering solutions leveraging data tools like SQL/SAS/Snowflake, AWS/Azure/GCP, Python/R, PowerBI/Tableau etc.
  • Strong interfacing experience with different types of stakeholders including business, technology, analysts/engineers, and leading multi-stakeholder-based engagements.
  • Provide insurance industry best practices, and thought leadership and enable an environment of continuous development, innovation
  • Experience in working in dual shore engagement and must have experience in managing large programs Insurance Analytics CoE and multiple clients directly.
  • Competitor analysis, Ad-hoc data analysis, and application of First principles thinking approach to solve business problems.
  • Strong grasp of the latest tools within the market.
  • Strong record of achievement, solid analytical ability, and an entrepreneurial hands-on approach to work
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills
