Job description

Jasco is looking for an Analytics Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing high-quality analytical data assets that power enterprise reporting, advanced analytics, and data-driven decision making. This role bridges analytics, engineering, and business intelligence by owning the presentation layer, ensuring data reliability, and enabling scalable, well-architected data solutions. The Analytics Engineer will leverage deep SQL expertise, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI semantic modeling to transform raw data into trusted, performant analytical products. This role plays a critical part in defining data architecture standards, improving data quality and governance, and partnering closely with IT and business stakeholders to deliver actionable insights across the organization.
  • Design and maintain the analytical presentation layer in an existing data warehouse while partnering with IT and Architecture to evolve the enterprise data platform-applying analytical engineering and SQL best practices to deliver scalable, high-performance, and business-ready data models for Power BI reporting.
  • Architect and govern the enterprise BI ecosystem using Power BI and Microsoft Fabric environment designing scalable ingestion and reporting standards while establishing and leading a Power BI/Fabric Center of Excellence to define roles, governance, workspace strategy, content lifecycle and enterprise enablement.
  • Develop an AI-ready data experience so Copilot and AI tools can easily understand and answer questions-making analytics more intuitive, conversational, and accessible for business users.
  • Guide how data connects across major systems and platforms to ensure reliable, well-documented access, balancing performance, flexibility, and scalability across the organization.
  • Support and enable the BI team by advising on the design, documentation, optimization, and advanced analytics of shared Power BI data models-ensuring consistent business definitions, strong performance, and scalable, user-friendly reporting.
  • Own and drive analytical data quality by enforcing standards and governance, proactively identifying and resolving data issues, and ensuring accurate, complete, and consistent data across source systems, warehouses, semantic models, and reports.
  • Lead the development and execution of advanced Power Query and DAX solutions, translating complex business requirements into robust reporting outputs.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather and comprehend their reporting requirements and translate these needs into precise technical specifications.

  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, Computer Science, Data Analytics, Business, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3+ years of advanced SQL experience including presentation layer views, stored procedures and working with complex relational data models.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric, Snowflake, and/or enterprise data lake architectures
  • Solid understanding of analytical engineering patterns and BI architecture.
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to partner across IT, analytics, and business teams
  • Familiarity with programming languages (e.g., Python, R) is a plus
