Job description

POSITION OVERVIEW
At Cigna and Evernorth, you will be part of a team transforming healthcare through data, analytics, and digital innovation. This role offers the opportunity to build the analytical foundation that connects the enterprise digital and customer experience agenda to financial and strategic outcomes.
The Director, Business Analytics - Digital & Customer Experience is responsible for
  • Creating analytical proof points to link digital capabilities and consumer value perception with business outcomes
  • Establishing reporting and analytics that enables development of continuously improving Digital Products across the enterprise
  • Establishing insight and analytics engine that enables strong feedback loop for generating financial and strategic value through Digital Engagement

This position operates with significant autonomy, making decisions-often with incomplete information-that influence outcomes across business areas and over the long term.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead with Purpose
  • Develop a high-performing team of business analysts and analytics practitioners, recruiting new associates and upskilling existing associates where needed
  • Provide direction across multiple analytics disciplines, ensuring high-quality output aligned to business priorities
  • Foster a culture of curiosity, analytical rigor, and continuous learning
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to business and digital leaders, shaping strategies through insight and evidence
Enable Outcomes-oriented Digital & Customer Experience Strategy
  • Partner with Digital product, Digital engagement, and Lead-to-One teams to align analytics and test/learn agendas with strategic priorities
  • Oversee evaluation and optimization of digital features, platforms, and engagement strategies, evolving operating model as needed
  • Lead segmentation, behavioral, and journey analyses to understand areas of opportunity for consumer experience agenda
  • Identify key drivers of customer satisfaction, engagement, and value perception, including "moments that matter" across the experience
  • Influence decision-making through clear storytelling and data-driven recommendation
Cross-Functional Leadership & Collaboration
  • Collaborate across digital, clinical analytics, data science, technology, product, and business teams to deliver integrated solutions
  • Align stakeholders around common objectives, priorities, and success measures
  • Facilitate iterative working models that enable continuous feedback, refinement, and impact delivery
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Strong experience in business analytics, affordability analytics, and/or customer experience analytics in healthcare
  • Proven ability to influence strategy and decision-making through data and insights
  • Demonstrated ability to lead data and analytics teams to orient jointly around consumer needs and employer group client needs
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate complex analytics into business value
  • Demonstrated ability to operate in ambiguity and make sound decisions with limited information
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Experience in healthcare, payer, or digital health environments
  • Proficiency in analytics tools and platforms (e.g., SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Power BI)
  • Experience developing and disseminating consumer/ member level analytics
SUCCESS MEASURES
  • Measurable improvements in customer experience, engagement, and business outcomes
  • Adoption of analytics-driven decision-making across digital and business teams
  • Impact and scalability of analytics initiatives and solutions
  • Strength of cross-functional partnerships and stakeholder alignment
  • Development and effectiveness of analytics talent and capabilities

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 157,700 - 262,800 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.
This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus and long term incentive plan.
