The ideal candidate will be responsible for Enterprise Reporting/Advanced Analytics in Automation projects starting with gathering and defining the initial requirements Dashboard Development, Testing, Implementation, and Support. The successful candidate must also have the ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical leadership.

This is a hybrid role, and will be required to work in-office at our Plano, TX office at least 3 days per week.  Candidates must be located within reasonable commuting distance of this office and be willing to work in-office on a regular basis.

Key responsibilities

 

  • Design and develop Power BI dashboards and reports using best practices.
  • Build and maintain semantic models that support self-service analytics.
  • Work with business leaders to determine data and reporting needs.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable KPIs.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting in a fast-paced environment with very short deadlines.

  • A bachelor's degree plus 3 years minimum equivalent experience in Data Analytics and executive level dashboarding.
  • Python skills for articulating data engineering required for analytics.
  • Experience with data ingestion, transformation, automation, working with REST APIs, and building pipelines.
  • The ability to work with multiple groups from both business and technology.
  • The demonstrated ability to synthesize clear requirements from user inputs.
  • The Ability to receive, prioritize and complete tasks from multiple sources with minimal supervision.
  • Expert knowledge of Excel, including formulas and macros.
  • A strong desire to learn new technologies and improve your skills.
Responsibilities
  • PowerBI analytics design and development for executives, including:
  • Semantic modeling
  • DAX measures and calculations
  • Power BI Service (apps, workspaces, RLS, deployment pipelines)
  • Statistical analysis and forecasting
  • Automation of reporting and pipelines
  • Integrate data from SQL Databases and Fabric Data Lake
  • Data transformations using Python (pandas, NumPy, scikitlearn)
  • Building and automating ETL/ELT workflows using Python
  • Using Python for API integration (requests, aiohttp)
  • Processing diverse file formats-including JSON, CSV, Parquet, Delta-via Python
  • Optimizing Python code for performance and handling large datasets efficiently
    • Define and own the enterprise analytics architecture while building semantic models, data marts, reporting layers.
    • Establish best data modeling practices which are performance oriented and drive the roadmap for self service analytics.
    • Architect and deliver executive level dashboards which might include complex DAX measures, composite models and Direct query usage.
    • Workspace strategy and cost optimization techniques are needed when designing the semantic models.
    • Heavy usage of python services that could architect data engineering, statistical modeling and forecasting.
    • Work with business leaders to determine data and reporting needs.
    • Intense knowledge of cloud architecture and familiar with best design practices.
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.
