Job description

Location - Hybrid or Remote
The Senior Project Manager role at Advanced Bionics is a key leadership role responsible for driving the successful execution of medium to large-scale projects, with a focus on product change projects, that are critical to organizational success. This position ensures projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining compliance with quality and regulatory standards. Acting as a central point of coordination across multiple departments, the Senior Project Manager fosters collaboration, mitigates risks, and champions process improvements. By combining strategic oversight with hands-on project management, this role supports business priorities, enhances operational efficiency, and contributes to long-term growth and innovation.
Travel: Up to 20%
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
  • Develop and manage comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, resource allocation, and contingency strategies.
  • Implement robust risk management processes and ensure adherence to project objectives and success criteria.
  • Provide regular status updates, financial performance reports, and ensure alignment with business priorities.

Cross-Functional Coordination:
  • Act as the primary liaison between project teams and stakeholders across departments such as R&D, Operations, Quality, and Legal.
  • Facilitate collaboration to ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.

Workstream Management:
  • Oversee multiple project workstreams, monitor progress, identify issues, and resolve conflicts promptly.
  • Evaluate trade-offs between scope, complexity, and cost to maintain project integrity.

Process Improvement:
  • Drive continuous improvement in project management practices, including standardization of workflows and documentation.
  • Promote best practices and coach teams to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Stakeholder Communication:
  • Maintain transparent and proactive communication with sponsors and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure alignment on objectives, milestones, and deliverables.

More about you:
  • Bachelor's degree or 10 years equivalent work experience, degree in engineering and / or advanced degree a plus
  • PMP Certification, SCRUM Master nice to have
  • 6+ years experience as a Project Manager for medical device, class 3 electromechanical medical deices (active implantable devices) a plus
  • Ability to thoroughly analyze complex systems and situations
  • Willingness and ability to take and assume timely decisions with minimal direct supervision
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to re-prioritize tasks in a rapidly changing environment
  • Ability to instruct & coach a team with appreciation and questioning of teams' work & results
  • Ability to assess project risks and plan accordingly / take preventative action
  • Assess project status and team members' reports
  • Understanding of feasibility and risks related to project management
  • Ability to evaluate technical reports outside their own background
  • Proficiency with MS Office and MS Project, nice to have Jira, Jama, Polarian, OnePlan, Oravle Agile PLM
  • English Fluency (written and spoken), German / Spanish / French a plus

This role's pay range is between: $114,400 - $143,000. This role is also bonus eligible.
