Job Summary
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating coding operations, with a primary focus on workflow management, operational efficiency, work queue oversight, and process optimization. This role ensures the timely and accurate progression of accounts through the coding lifecycle by monitoring productivity, coordinating resources, resolving workflow issues, supporting system and process improvements, and maintaining compliance with organizational policies and operational standards. The position collaborates with coding leadership, revenue cycle teams, and external vendors to identify opportunities for process enhancement, implement operational initiatives, and support organizational performance goals.
Qualifications
Education
  • Associate's Degree in Health Information Management or related field of study required

Experience
  • 2+ years of experience in outpatient coding required
  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory or coordinator role preferred

Experience
  • 1+ years of experience in a supervisory, coordinator, or lead role preferred.
  • Experience working with EHR and/or healthcare coding systems preferred.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and coding software.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI, Teams, and Microsoft Forms.
