This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while maintaining strong ties with educational institutions. Our team operates collaboratively with school staff, parents, and external service providers to ensure students receive comprehensive support. Despite the remote setting, team cohesion is fostered through scheduled meetings, training sessions, and collaborative outreach efforts, all aimed at ensuring high standards of care are met.

• Provide direct clinical services to assigned clients experiencing symptoms of major mental illnesses and severe emotional disorders, employing evidence-based practices.
• Conduct brief, developmentally appropriate screenings and assessments to identify students’ needs, arranging for more detailed evaluations as necessary.
• Create and implement integrated care plans that connect students with necessary services, ensuring seamless collaboration among all stakeholders, including families and educational staff.
• Offer a range of therapeutic services, including individual and group therapy, crisis intervention, and recovery services tailored to the needs of students.
• Maintain a manageable caseload, monitoring client progress and treatment plans while ensuring compliance with admission, ongoing care, and discharge criteria.
• Prepare and submit timely documentation and reports to comply with organizational standards and funding requirements.
• Participate in agency and school-based committees to enhance service delivery and improve mental health outcomes for students.
• Engage in continuous professional development and training to stay current with best practices in the field and improve personal and team skill sets.

You will engage with a diverse patient population, focusing specifically on school-aged children and adolescents who may come from under-served communities. This role requires cultural competence and sensitivity to work effectively with individuals from varying backgrounds, ensuring that their unique perspectives and needs are respected and addressed.

• Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing clinical social work services, preferably in educational or community health settings.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote work environment.

• Experience conducting mental health assessments and developing treatment plans tailored to the needs of children and adolescents.
• Prior involvement with school mental health programs or educational support services is a plus.
• Knowledge of community resources and referral processes relevant to children’s mental health.
