Medina Counseling Center is seeking an empathetic and dedicated Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our team. This full-time, remote position is designed for individuals passionate about making meaningful changes in the lives of their clients through effective mental health support. The selected candidate will leverage their expertise to assess mental health conditions, craft tailored treatment plans, and execute therapeutic interventions in an outpatient setting.

This role operates in a fully remote setting, allowing for flexibility and the ability to connect effectively with clients from the comfort of their homes. Counselors are provided with the necessary tools and technologies, including electronic health record systems like AVATAR, to facilitate seamless client management and documentation.

• Conduct thorough preliminary interviews and document client cases from the initial consultation through to treatment completion.
• Evaluate clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health through comprehensive assessments and clinical interviews.
• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to foster growth and healing.
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment journey, making necessary adjustments to the treatment plan as required.
• Collaborate effectively with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to coordinate comprehensive care for clients.
• Follow up with medical and psychiatric professionals concerning clients who may need hospital admission and ensure continuity of care.
• Identify behaviors that may hinder recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges while supporting the client.
• Assist family members and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges faced by loved ones.

The ideal candidate will work with a broad range of clients, including children, adolescents, and adults, many of whom face challenges related to anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use disorders. • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
• Successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a robust understanding of therapeutic practices.

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems such as AVATAR for reporting and case management.
• A strong background in addressing both physical and emotional health concerns, along with experience in addiction recovery.
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
• An in-depth understanding of the impacts of pharmacological treatments prescribed by healthcare providers.
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and empathetic skills that foster trust and rapport with clients.

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, accompanied by a sign-on bonus.
