Job description

About Hometown NP
Hometown NP is a nurse-practitioner-led telepsychiatric group practice delivering nationwide psychiatry and therapy services. Founded in 2024 by a double board-certified nurse practitioner, we created this platform so nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other clinicians can provide high-quality mental health care without interference from outside investment groups.
Using secure, state-of-the-art telehealth technology, Hometown NP connects patients with experienced mental-health professionals in the comfort and privacy of their own homes. Our team treats a wide range of conditions - including anxiety, depression, PTSD, and ADHD - and includes nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and licensed therapists, ensuring a diverse, highly qualified clinical staff committed to accessible, evidence-based care.
Our Philosophy
We value quality care, meaningful clinician-patient relationships, and clinician autonomy. Hometown NP provides operational and clinical support so you can focus on patient care.
Position Summary
We are seeking a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) with a minimum of 1 year clinical experience in psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy. This 1099 partnership role is telehealth-only. Hometown NP supplies patient referrals, handles intake, credentialing, and administrative operations so you can focus on delivering excellent care.
Important applicant restrictions
  • Practice owners with a group should not apply.
  • Applicants must be able to commit to a minimum one-year service term in the position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy via telehealth only
  • Deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care and maintain timely, accurate documentation
  • Coordinate with our administrative team for scheduling, billing, and collections (we handle operations)
  • Participate in remote provider consult groups and virtual trainings/seminars

Minimum Qualifications & Eligibility Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of clinical experience as a PMHNP, including psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy
  • Master's or doctoral degree in psychiatric mental health nursing from an accredited graduate program

  • DEA license for the state(s) in which you will practice (or willingness to obtain)
  • No suspension, exclusion, or debarment from participation in federal healthcare programs (e.g., Medicare, Medicaid, SCHIP)
  • No adverse actions by any nursing board, hospital, or other credentialing body in the past three years
  • Reliable high-speed internet, a private workspace suitable for telehealth, and compliant telehealth technology/telephony
  • Commitment to patient-centered care, professionalism, and collaboration

Telehealth Coverage / State Eligibility
  • This role is telehealth-only and open to clinicians licensed in U.S. states that grant full practice authority for nurse practitioners. If you are licensed in a qualifying state and meet our telehealth credentialing requirements, you may provide telehealth services to eligible patients.
  • Unsure if your state qualifies? Include your state(s) of licensure when applying

Schedule & Minimum Availability
  • Most practitioners provide a minimum of 4 clinical hours per week. Have another job, and looking for extra income
  • Flexible scheduling is available - part-time telehealth schedules can be accommodated.
  • Hometown NP sets clinician availability and patient panel size in coordination with each provider to ensure manageable caseloads and quality care.

Compensation & Payout Terms
  • Per-session pay:
    • Initial visit (60 minutes): $100 per session
    • Follow-up visit (30 minutes): $70 per session
    • Add-on for psychotherapy with medication management using 90833: additional $25 per applicable session
  • Payout schedule: Direct deposit, monthly.
  • No-show/cancellation protection: Hometown NP pays you 50% of your time when a patient no-shows, cancels late.

What Hometown NP Provides
  • New patient referrals and ongoing client flow
  • Fast-track credentialing with major payors through our partnered CVO (weeks, not months)
  • Hometown NP app, with claim MD billing, administrative support: intake, scheduling, billing, and collections (six days/week)
  • Transparent insurance reimbursement arrangements designed to benefit providers
  • Practice Measurement- based care with our built-in systems to evaluate client symptoms using standardized and trackable results
  • Built-in AI scribe with our EMR to help reduce burnout with documentation
  • A connected remote provider community with consult groups, seminars, and peer support

Please submit your resume/CV and a brief cover letter describing:
  • Your PMHNP experience (1+ years)
