Job description

REMOTE POSITION

UR Specialist is responsible for maintaining and coordinating all utilization review activities with the facility. Needs to substantiate Level of Care decisions to insurance providers, administrators, and to the patient. UR Specialist is responsible for Quality Assurance of documents within the patient's chart. 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Familiar with DSM 5 and Utilization Review Criteria; effective verbal and written communication skills; basic computer skills and organizational skills. Ability to function independently, have flexibility, personal integrity, and the ability to work effectively with internal / external customers.

 Education:

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in related field

Required Length and Type of Experience:

  • Minimum 1 year experience in addiction treatment, behavioral health, or health care

Required Licensure or Certification:

  • One of the following licensures are required: LSW, LPC, LCDCIII, RN

Required Physical and Environmental Demands

  • Requires moving intermittently, i.e., sitting, standing, bending, etc. while working in an office setting.
