Amity Counseling Center is seeking full-time Licensed Mental Health Counselors (LMHC) specialized in addiction therapy to join our dedicated team. This remote role offers the flexibility to provide high-quality mental health services to clients across Port Saint Lucie, Florida, utilizing a telehealth platform. By guiding individuals through their journey of recovery from substance misuse, you will play an essential role in transforming lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conducting thorough clinical assessments to evaluate clientsโ€™ mental health and addiction-related needs, employing tools tailored to uncover specific issues such as substance misuse levels.
  • Developing and implementing evidence-based treatment plans that align with individualized client goals, adjusting them based on progress and changing requirements.
  • Facilitating individual, couples, and group counseling sessions, utilizing therapeutic methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to promote engagement and recovery.
  • Collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams in case management meetings to ensure comprehensive care and client progress monitoring.
  • Maintaining accurate and confidential client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards, utilizing electronic health record systems for documentation.
  • Participating in ongoing clinical supervision and case conferences to refine skills and stay updated on best practices in mental health treatment.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with adults facing challenges associated with addiction, including individuals dealing with co-occurring mental health disorders. We support a diverse range of clients, many of whom have experienced trauma or emotional crises, requiring an empathetic understanding of their unique backgrounds and experiences. Your role will be vital in helping these clients navigate their recovery pathways.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related mental health field is required.
  • Licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Florida is mandatory for this position.
Preferred Experience
