Holding Hope Therapeutic Center is actively seeking a compassionate and experienced Mental Health Counselor to join our team as a full-time telehealth practitioner. This role primarily focuses on assisting individuals on their journey toward recovery from substance use disorders. This role is fully remote and utilizes a telehealth platform, allowing you to connect with clients from the comfort of your home while enjoying a flexible work-life balance. The typical work schedule runs Monday through Friday, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with occasional evening hours based on client needs. • Conduct thorough assessments utilizing established assessment tools to determine the therapeutic needs and goals of clients seeking help for substance use disorders.
• Craft individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based interventions and set clear objectives based on the unique challenges faced by each client.
• Deliver one-on-one counseling sessions employing techniques such as motivational interviewing and cognitive-behavioral therapy to facilitate meaningful discussions and promote behavioral change.
• Facilitate group therapy sessions, promoting a supportive environment where patients can share experiences and strategies, thereby reinforcing community and understanding.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists and addiction specialists, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for all clients.
• Provide crisis intervention support during substance-related emergencies, effectively addressing immediate concerns and ensuring client safety.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction and recovery processes, helping them to understand available resources and support systems.
• Maintain all necessary documentation accurately and confidentially, adhering to both legal and ethical standards, including but not limited to treatment notes and progress reports.
• Participate actively in team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and learning from colleagues to enhance therapeutic practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research, best practices, and developments in the field of substance use treatment to continually improve patient outcomes.

Your primary focus will be on individuals struggling with substance use disorders, many of whom may also be dealing with co-occurring mental health issues. You will engage with a diverse client base, incorporating cultural sensitivity and understanding into every interaction. The aim is to create a safe and welcoming environment that encourages open dialogue and promotes long-term recovery.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Oregon.
• Deep understanding of substance use disorders, including familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Demonstrated experience providing both individual and group therapy specifically related to addiction treatment.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth technology to deliver effective counseling services remotely.

• At least two years of experience in a clinical setting, working with individuals struggling with addiction and mental health issues.
• Familiarity with recovery-oriented approaches and holistic treatments.
• Previous involvement in creating and implementing evidence-based interventions within group and individual counseling frameworks.
