Job description

Are you passionate about designing, developing, and implementing actuarial business applications leveraging modern cloud technologies?

Does actuarial software development and driving innovation inspire you?

Come join our Actuarial Technology and Services team where you will:

  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and maintenance of actuarial and financial systems, with a strong emphasis on cloud-based solutions (Azure preferred).

  • Collaborate with actuaries and business stakeholders to understand critical business processes and translate them into technological solutions.

  • Identify gaps and areas for improvement in business operations, optimizing efficiency and customer experience through technology.

  • Monitor advancements in cloud and application technologies, recommending and implementing enhancements for competitive advantage.

  • Ensure timely high-quality delivery of software projects, troubleshooting challenges and proactively engaging in planning and project management.

  • Provide guidance and support to junior programmers, assisting with technical problem-solving and code reviews.

  • Review and enhance technology standards, processes, and best practices within the ATS group.

  • Support the development of user documentation and training materials.

  • Assist in the review and troubleshooting of day-to-day issues and end-user support for ATS software.

    6 years of software development experience in financial services, actuarial or related industries with significant Azure expertise.
    Strong skills in object-oriented programming (C , C#, Java, Delphi). 
    Experience with DevOps tools and practices in Azure. 
    Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, or related field. 
    Strong quantitative and analytical skills. 
    Excellent communication and organizational skills. 
    Ability to work independently and collaboratively. 
    Actuarial experience or familiarity and actuarial exams is a plus.
