Overview  
The Connectivity Standards Alliance, a 501(c)(6) standards development organization with 900+ members, including the biggest brands and companies in the world, is looking for a detail-oriented accountant to join our fully remote accounting team. This role is ideal for a finance professional with 3+ years of hands-on experience in accounting and a solid background in Finance or Accounting. They will support key day-to-day financial operations including AR, AP, payroll, and month-end close. This individual should possess strong NetSuite and Excel proficiency, with an interest in process improvement automation.  

Key Responsibilities
 
  • Manage & support full-cycle accounts receivable including invoicing, cash application, and collections 
  • Oversee accounts payable to ensure timely and accurate vendor payments 
  • Review and support payroll processing and related account reconciliations 
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and key general ledger accounts monthly 
  • Prepare and post journal entries and support all aspects of the month-end and year-end close 
  • Assist in identifying process improvements, with a focus on simplification and automation 
  • Ensure accuracy and consistency of financial data across departments through collaboration 
  • Assist with financial reporting, compliance efforts, and external audits 
  • Support member billing inquiries and assist with financial troubleshooting to ensure a positive member experience. 
  • Participate in special projects, including systems upgrades or new integrations 
 
Qualifications: 
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field 
  • 3+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a dynamic or mission-driven environment 
  • NetSuite experience is required; equivalent ERP experience considered 
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced formulas, pivot tables, and VLOOKUPs 
  • Solid understanding of U.S. GAAP and general accounting principles 
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines 
  • Self-starter with excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote setting 
  • Openness to identifying and implementing process enhancements and automation tools 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and analytical abilities 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills 
Work Environment & Compensation: 
  • 100% remote – candidates must be based in the U.S. and authorized to work in the U.S. Candidates must reside in Pacific Standard Time (PST) or Mountain Standard Time (MST) zones.
