Job Title: Accounting Manager
Position SummaryWe are looking for a seasoning Accounting Manager to join our accounting team. The position oversees a small team of accountants and supervises the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports for our business. This exempt level position requires you to partner with all levels/departments within the organization, so excellent verbal/written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are a must. The selected individual must work well with others and be dependable, organized, and detail oriented. Salary will be based on experience.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
• Ensuring all expenses, receipts, and other transactions for the accounting period are accurately posted
• Supports the Company's monthly closing process, including reviewing monthly journal entries and account reconciliations, performing variance and trend analyses, researching transactions for proper accounting treatment, preparing financial reports, completing rapid period-end closes and meeting all required deadlines
• Analyze monthly operating and financial results, including preparing internal reporting deliverables, analyzing trends & drivers, and explaining budget/forecast vs. actual variances
• Participates in annual audits and special projects, including system implementations; works with the controller and auditors to provide required information and ensure proper recordkeeping for historical purposes
• Support operations team to ensure they have the data and information they need to run the business
• Coach and mentor Associate accountants, including monitoring workload allocations
• Assists with special projects and other related duties as may be assigned

• Significant experience working with a business team to review results, understand business drivers, and closely manage costs
• NetSuite Experience a plus, but not required
• Broad and in-depth knowledge of GAAP and other accounting and reporting standards
• Previous experience in a company with annual revenue over $100M
Required Education and Experience:
• Bachelor's degree required; CPA strongly preferred
• 4+ years related experience (2-3 years of public accounting experience strongly preferred)
• 5+ years of experience managing more than 1 direct report(s).
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time, while occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch
• Ability to view computer screens for extended periods of time and read material
• Sufficient ability to speak and hear to conduct conversations both on the phone and in person
• Mental and emotional stamina to endure workload under sometimes stressful conditions
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
