JOB TITLE: Accountant
LOCATION: This is a remote position and is open to candidates residing within the United States. Preference will be given to candidates located in the Denver/Northern Colorado or Southern Wyoming area.
JOB TYPE: Part-Time (20 hours per week) - 3-month position with the possibility of continuation
POSITION OVERVIEW:
1FORCE is currently looking for a driven individual with high energy and enthusiasm to join our team and assume the role of Accountant. The accountant is vital to the ongoing efficiency of the company that will be responsible for the full cycle accounting functions. This is a newly formed role that will report directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is critical to the overall business operations of the organization.
PRIMARY DUTIES:
Accountant's typical responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Manage Accounts Payable transactions
  • Track monthly accruals
  • Full cycle Accounts Receivable, including credit, billing, cash apps and collections
  • Cash Flow reporting and analysis
  • Prepare payroll including data for quarterly bonuses and payout
  • Process state filings as required
  • Ensure insurance filings are up to date
  • Maintain SBA account
  • Review operational performance and analyze variances against budget and prior months' performance
  • Update, produce and analyze monthly reports
  • Collaborate closely with the team to manage the information flow from all systems to ensure accurate report production
  • Other duties/backup tasks as assigned

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • BS in Accounting; advanced degree preferred
  • Strong financial acumen with the ability to analyze budgetary information and assess organizational capacity
  • 3+ years of financial management experience
  • Experience with QuickBooks Online
  • Proficiency in Microsoft software applications, especially Excel
