Job description

Required: 3+ years of law firm accounting experience, including trust (IOLTA) accounting, and hands-on experience with both QuickBooks Online (QBO) and Clio. Applications without this experience will not be considered.
We are seeking an experienced Legal Accountant / Bookkeeper to support multiple law firm clients in a fully remote role.
If you are looking for an exciting and rewarding challenge as a part-time or full-time accountant/bookkeeper working with a variety of clients, then we have the opportunity for you! We are a growing, outsource management firm and demand for our services is increasing!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Manage legal billing and client invoicing
  • Maintain and reconcile trust (IOLTA) accounts
  • Processes Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
  • Provide Vendor management
  • Account reconciliations
  • Ensure synchronization and accuracy between Clio and QuickBooks Online
  • End-of-month financial preparation
  • Process payroll (including preparation of 1099's)
  • Communicates regularly with clients and internal team
  • Meets all deadlines
  • Support special projects as needed

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 3+ years of law firm accounting experience, including trust (IOLTA) accounting (required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting (preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency using QuickBooks Online (required)
  • Hand-on experience using Clio for legal billing, trust accounting, and matter management (required)
  • Experience maintaining and reconciling accounting records between Clio and QuickBooks Online (strongly preferred)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Must be highly organized, detail oriented, and able to work under pressure
