Job description

Account Manager – Home Lending Industry

Alderwood, WA

If you know the mortgage industry but are ready for something different, this could be an interesting next step.

Maybe you’re a Loan Officer, Account Executive, or other mortgage professional who enjoys the relationship side of the business but is tired of chasing the next closing. Maybe you want more stability, and health benefits/PTO without walking away from the industry knowledge.

Our client is a well-established, privately held mortgage industry media and business services company offering news, advertising, industry rankings, and a lender marketplace. They’re adding an Account Manager to their sales team to manage existing client relationships, grow accounts, and introduce customers to additional solutions.

This is not a loan origination role. You’ll use your understanding of the mortgage business in a B2B sales environment with an established base salary, existing accounts, and uncapped opportunity to earn more.

Account Manager Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients.
  • Take ownership of a portfolio of accounts and identify opportunities for account growth.
  • Develop a strong understanding of client businesses, goals, and challenges.
  • Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products and solutions based on customer needs.
  • Follow up with inbound leads while also conducting proactive outreach to prospective clients.
  • Lead discovery conversations and uncover opportunities where additional solutions can provide value.
  • Present products and solutions through phone and virtual meetings.
  • Manage sales opportunities from initial conversation through close.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to support retention, satisfaction, and long-term relationships.
  • Partner with internal teams to address customer questions and ensure a strong client experience.
  • Keep account activity, opportunities, and sales information accurately updated in the CRM.

Account Manager Qualifications

  • At least 2 years of sales, account management, business development, or related experience.
  • Understanding of the mortgage industry is required.
  • B2B or inside sales experience required
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Comfortable having both inbound and outbound sales conversations.
  • We’re especially interested in people who already understand the mortgage and lending industry.Such as:
  • Loan Officer or Mortgage Loan Originator
  • Wholesale or Correspondent Account Executive
  • Mortgage Account Manager
  • Business Development Representative
  • Lending or mortgage sales professional
  • Other client-facing mortgage professional with a sales mindset

Company Benefits

  • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance
  • 401k with matching
  • Paid time off and holidays

Compensation: $75,000 - $80,000 (OTE: $110,000)
