Position Overview

Mentro Point Counseling Center, a leading provider of mental health services, is seeking a dedicated and licensed mental health counselor to join our team. In this full-time, remote position, you will play a vital role in our outpatient office, providing essential support to individuals grappling with trauma-related challenges. This position comes with a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually.

Work Environment

The role is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance while still supporting a collaborative environment. Our team operates from an outpatient model, maintaining a structured weekly schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, supporting both the counselors and the patients effectively. Key Responsibilities
  • Engage with patients to assess their mental health needs through thorough evaluations and interviews.
  • Utilize diagnostic tools and assessments to identify mental and emotional disorders, ensuring tailored treatment plans are developed.
  • Create actionable treatment plans and coping strategies that promote recovery and self-management for clients.
  • Conduct regular follow-up appointments to monitor progress, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to align with patient needs.
  • Facilitate educational sessions for both patients and staff, enhancing understanding of stress management and trauma coping mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with external health providers and community organizations to connect patients with additional resources and support services.
  • Stay current with industry practices by completing continuing education courses to maintain your National Certified Counselor certification and by engaging with peer review opportunities.
  • Participate in team meetings to contribute insights and share successful practices within the counseling team.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our focus predominantly lies with individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to, those encountering PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), anxiety, and depression resulting from traumatic events. As a mental health counselor, you will be instrumental in creating a safe space for these clients, allowing them to process their experiences and develop strategies to thrive.

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field is required.
  • A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential must be maintained throughout employment.
  • A minimum of three years of direct experience working with trauma patients is essential.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications is required for documentation and communication tasks.
  • Exceptional communication skills are necessary to effectively interact with clients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and electronic medical record (EMR) systems is highly advantageous.
  • Experience in a remote counseling setting is desirable, amplifying your ability to connect with patients through virtual means.
  • Demonstrated effectiveness in building rapport with clients and adapting therapeutic techniques to individual needs.
