Work Environment

This position offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, allowing you to provide essential mental health counseling services from the comfort of your home while maintaining a consistent connection with our outpatient office team. The regular workweek runs Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, ensuring a balanced schedule that supports both professional and personal well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough intake assessments to evaluate patient needs and develop customized treatment plans that address mental and emotional disorders.
  • Engage in active listening sessions with patients to fully understand their challenges and collaboratively design coping strategies to promote psychological resilience.
  • Monitor patient progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary, ensuring the delivery of the highest quality of care.
  • Educate patients and staff on effective coping mechanisms for stress and trauma, enhancing overall understanding and treatment compliance.
  • Coordinate care with additional healthcare providers and community resources to ensure comprehensive support for patients.
  • Participate in ongoing training and continuing education to maintain National Certified Counselor certification, ensuring that you remain current on evidence-based practices.
  • Support the clinic's mission by advocating for patients' needs and reinforcing the importance of mental health within the community.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role focuses primarily on trauma injury patients who require specialized care and support to address their mental health challenges. You will work closely with individuals facing various emotional difficulties resulting from traumatic experiences, requiring empathy, understanding, and a proactive approach to treatment.

Qualifications
  • A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling is required.
  • Possession of a valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential.
  • A minimum of three years of experience specifically working with trauma patients is essential to effectively support our clientele.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with a proven ability to engage effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
Preferred Experience
  • Knowledge of Salesforce or similar platforms is considered a significant advantage, enhancing our ability to track and manage patient information efficiently.
  • Familiarity with telehealth practices and technologies to facilitate remote counseling sessions may also be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
